~This week we learned about mammals with a concentration on bats. The students picked up the new information so quickly. We decided which stories were fiction and non-fiction, read informational text and practiced applying information from a text, read stories with opposites and rhyming, and practiced sequencing. For a 3-day week, we sure were busy!
In math, students are finishing up the unit on greater than and less than. It is pretty easy for them, but the word problems can be tricky, and they are doing great. They also learned to count by 2's, practiced sorting by color, shape, and size, learned about finding how many more when graphing, practiced naming and counting coins, matched number words to numbers, and practiced measuring different objects.
Thank you to all who came out for parent-teacher conferences. It was so nice to have the opportunity to talk with you about your wonderful kiddos. They are doing amazing things!
