The students had a fun-filled week of stories, projects, and learning. They loved comparing and contrasting the Bill Martin Jr./Eric Carle books Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Polar Bear, Polar Bear, Baby Bear, Baby Bear, and Panda Bear, Panda Bear. I think their favorite part of the week though, was creating their very own "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" book. Check out some of the wonderful pages below. Their writing is improving so much!
In math, students practiced making addition problems, practiced telling time to the hour and half-hour, made ABBC patterns, and practiced counting by 2's.
On Friday we had special visitors. Students from Taft High School visited our classroom for Jr. Achievement. The students thought it was the greatest!
They are learning so much so fast! We are only 53 days into the school year, and they are already looking like first graders. I'm so proud of them!
Check out what else we did this week in the pictures below.
