We had so much fun this week reading stories about St. Patrick's day and writing about leprechauns. We even tried to catch the leprechaun, but sadly, we failed. The students are writing machines! They can write about anything and express themselves clearly. It is truly impressive! They also are becoming expert readers. Almost all of our students are now reading at a first grade level or higher! Unbelievable! They did a great job finding problems and solutions in our stories this week and also understanding the main idea. In math, the students rocked the test on our latest unit! They are so smart! They also practiced identifying odd and even numbers, labeling positional words, comparing numbers using greater than and less than symbols, adding coins, and sequencing numbers in a variety of ways starting at random numbers.
