Besides making text-to-self connections while reading See How We Grow, students also reviewed finding the cover and title, naming the author, making predictions, and sequencing a story. Students have REALLY developed their one-to-one correspondence this week.
They did a great job writing "I have" and "I see" sentences this week, and even got to practice making sentences on an iPad.
In math, students continued to practice numbers 0-10, and writing them correctly. They also reviewed coins, learned about ABB patterns, compared amounts to find which group has more or fewer, practiced color words, and played a fun Missing Number game.
I am having so much fun with the students. I cannot believe how quickly they are learning. We are going to start guided reading this week. Wait until you see how quickly they begin to read!
Check out our fun pictures from the week!
