This week we celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday. What a fun week! We read so many wonderful stories. The students enjoyed comparing and contrasting and making text-to-text connections while reading The Cat in the Hat and The Cat in the Hat Comes Back. They did a wonderful job finding the author's purpose and lesson in Horton Hatches the Egg, and loved saying all the rhymes while helping me read Green Eggs and Ham.
In math, we practiced adding numbers over 10, found the pattern in adding numbers to 10, played addition Oh No!, played a Dr. Seuss hat game, found even and odd numbers, and practiced exchanging coins.
