This week we read stories about animals that hibernate. Students learned about what it means to hibernate and where many of these animals sleep. They also determined which hibernating mammals were mammals and which were not.
Students also wrote about hibernating animals. They wrote a fantastic paper about what they like about winter as well.
In math, students began our unit on numbers to 100, estimating, and skip counting. This unit is slightly more challenging than our last unit. Students also practiced telling time to the hour, counting by 2's, making addition and subtraction problems, playing an adding dice game, and counting up from different starting numbers.
